BankBird.app immediately gets a major refreshed version
Four days after the first release, a significantly refreshed version of BankBird is already online: more complete, sharper and better developed.

BankBird.app is live. Version 1 launched on May 6, and just four days later, on May 10, a major refreshed version went online. In a short time, BankBird has taken a significant step from first release to a more complete, sharper and better-developed open-source financial admin app.
BankBird is intended for anyone who wants more insight into bank payments, transactions and personal financial admin. The application makes it possible to import bank statements, manage transactions clearly, and use categorisation to get a quicker grip on income and expenses. The site describes BankBird as a free and open-source solution for personal financial admin, with bank statement import, AI categorisation and reporting among its features.
Technically, BankBird runs as a Laravel 11 application with Filament 5 as the admin panel. The app is designed to run on your own server, without any required external services, except for an optional AI API for extra smart features.
The full technical update can be found on the BankBird.app updates page.
